Spurs' Green awarded two points 18 hours after a game ended

San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green is having a very rough season, but on Thursday he received a bit of good news.

The NBA decided to award him two extra points, after his final basket (a tip with less than 30 seconds to go) was assigned to Kawhi Leonard instead, per the San Antonio Express-News.

Green is shooting under 30 percent from behind the three-point line, but the Spurs have hardly noticed. They're still rolling along as the second best team in basketball. Imagine how good they'll be once their best outside marksman starts to knock down shots.

Some 18 hours after leaving Toronto, Spurs guard Danny Green was awarded an extra two points against the Raptors on Thursday. A night earlier, Green logged the Spurs’ final basket in a 97-94 loss in Toronto when he tipped in a Manu Ginobili miss with 28.9 seconds to play. The stat crew at the Air Canada Centre, however, mistakenly gave the bucket to Kawhi Leonard. The Raptors notified the NBA of the error, and the league duly made the change for the record. Green now officially finished with 10 points and four rebounds. Leonard had seven points and six boards.
