Shaq calls Anthony Davis 'too little' to guard him: 'That's barbecue chicken down there'

Shaquille O'Neal was the most dominant force in the game during the prime of his playing days. There literally wasn't a single player in the league who had a chance of consistently stopping him in a one-on-one matchup, and O'Neal believes that's still the case among players in the game today.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Anthony Davis was singled out as someone who might be able to give Shaq some trouble on the defensive end of the floor. But O'Neal was dismissive of the idea fairly quickly.

"Too little for me," he said. "That's barbecue chicken down there."

Ouch.

To be fair, O'Neal wouldn't have a chance at stopping Davis, either. But whether his comments ring true or not, it's clear that O'Neal can be added to the long list of retired athletes who still view themselves as being able to play against the current greats of the game.
