The Sacramento Kings have hired Denver executive Mike Bratz as assistant general manager.

The move Friday reunites Bratz with Pete D'Alessandro, who was introduced as Sacramento's general manager Monday. Bratz spent the past three years working alongside D'Alessandro with the Nuggets, most recently as the team's director of player personnel.

A member of Stanford's Hall of Fame, Bratz was drafted in the third round by Phoenix in 1977. He played for six teams over nine seasons, including for the Kings during the franchise's inaugural season in Sacramento in 1985-86.

Bratz also served as a Kings assistant coach for seven seasons, which included work as a scout and radio analyst. He has worked in various scouting and coaching roles for Utah, Cleveland, Washington, Milwaukee and the Los Angeles Clippers.
