Report: Pelicans are interested in Solomon Hill

Published Dec. 7, 2015 3:20 p.m. ET

The New Orleans Pelicans are interested in acquiring Indiana Pacers forward Solomon Hill, according to Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star

The Pacers put Hill on the trading block last week, as they no longer have room for him in the rotation with Paul George healthy, C.J. Miles playing exceptionally well, and Chase Budinger in the fold now as well. The writing was on the wall when the Pacers declined his $2.3 million team option for the 2016-17 season.

The Pelicans, meanwhile, need help at small forward because Quincy Pondexter remains sidelined indefinitely while he recovers from knee surgery. Hill would be an upgrade, if only slightly, over what they currently have.
