Report: Nikola Pekovic 'all set' to play Wednesday night
Timberwolves fans, rejoice! You finally have your beloved center back.
From Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN radio:
In the words of one #Twolves official just now, Pek is "all set" to play tonight. #twolves

Pekovic hasn't played in about 10 months. He went down with an Achilles injury in March and has been rehabbing it ever since, hoping for a day just like this one.
Coach Sam Mitchell said Tuesday after Timberwolves practice that he was 50-50 on if Pekovic would play or not against the Nuggets on Wednesday. There is no word on how many minutes Pek will get if and when he does return, whether that's Wednesday or later.
The Wolves have progressed nicely with Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng at center in Pekovic's absence. Towns can play the 4 as well, so maybe Minnesota plays him there a bit more to get some minutes for Pek. Either way, after Pekovic sat out for 10 months with an injury as serious as one to the Achilles, you have to imagine Minnesota will go out of its way to ease him back into its rotation, a few minutes at a time.
