Report: Austin Rivers signs with new agent

Published Sep. 1, 2015 6:03 p.m. ET

A day after it comes out that DeAndre Jordan has "parted ways" with Relativity Sports, former Relativity Sports client Austin Rivers seems to have found a new home.

From Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times:

Rivers will make $3.1 million in year one of his deal, which is actually the most his previous contract allowed him to re-sign with the Clippers for, assuming L.A. stayed over the cap, which it did. There's a chance the change had more to do with the DeAndre Jordan fiasco, with whom Rivers' father, Doc, was prominently involved.

Rivers has signed with agent Andy Miller, The Times has confirmed.

His agent at Relativity Sports, Dan Fegan, was able to get Rivers to re-sign with the Clippers for two years and $6.4 million in July, with a player option after the 2015-16 season.

Rivers still has to pay Relativity Sports the 4% agency fees for negotiating his deal.

Clippers center DeAndre Jordan also left Relativity Sports last week.
