Quincy Pondexter to miss start of the season

Pondexter underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in May and has not yet been cleared to resume basketball activities, so this shouldn't be too much of a surprise.

The good news for Pelicans fans is that Pondexter is looking to build on the great second half of the season he had in New Orleans last year. He averaged a career-best nine points and 3.1 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per contest, while knocking down 43.3 percent of his looks from three-point distance.
