Portland's third game against Phoenix won't be like the others
The Portland Trail Blazers will take on the Phoenix Suns for the third time this season Friday night. But are they really facing the same group?
The Suns have totally shifted their rotation since the last time these two teams faced off, and it's almost like Terry Stotts needs to prepare for a totally different squad, per The Oregonian:
Both of their previous meetings came in late October, on a back-to-back, and the Trail Blazers lost twice. Obviously, they hope for a different result this time around.
Jon Leuer has replaced Markieff Morris as Phoenix's starting power forward. And two Suns reserves -- Forward Mirza Teletovic and rookie guard Devin Booker -- have moved into the regular rotation since the Blazers and Suns played back-to-back games at the end of October. "Having Leuer and Teletovic and Booker -- their three-point shooting has become more important," Blazers coach Terry Stotts said. "Anytime you open up the court with three-point shooters it helps penetration."
