Players show their style at NBA Draft

Published Jun. 27, 2013 1:00 a.m. ET

There was no shortage of style at the NBA Draft on Thursday.

As players walked across the stage to soak up the moment and get their picture taken with the commish (in his final draft, BTW), they also made a fashion statement.

Minnesota pick pick Andre Roberson took the stage like he’s ready for a career as a maître d with this outfit before he was traded to Golden State . . . and then to Oklahoma City.

Sixers pick Michael Carter-Williams opted for a light-blue ensemble.

Hawks pick Shane Larkin went with a light-blue polka dot tie. Could this little doozy have played a part in Atlanta shipping him to the Mavs? (After all, it's a lot closer to the Mavs' shade of blue.)

As for Lucas Bebe Nogueira, it’s not so much what he wore on his body but rather how he wore his hair. Oh, and Nogueira was also traded (though he wasn't the only player Boston shipped out on Thursday). Coincidence?

And Kings pick Ben McLemore made a statement that was impossible to ignore.

Maybe the Cavs were impressed with Anthony Bennett’s shoes. Could that be the reason they shockingly took him No. 1?
