For a full recap, read here…With the continued inconsistency of the Suns starters, no starters now average over twenty points per game. Devin Booker has slipped back under twenty and averages 19.9; T.J. Warren – who only played nine minutes vs Indiana has dropped to 17.7; and Eric Bledsoe averages 16.6. Following a 32 point outburst against Denver, Brandon Knight score 17 at Indiana, and has brought his scoring average up to 13.2, the only other player in double figures scoring…Alex Len has continued to play fairly well as he has filled in for Tyson Chandler, and has raised his per game scoring and rebounding averages to 8.7 and 7.8. He also now averages 1.2 blocks per game, leading the Suns in that category…Even without Chandler, the Suns continue to hold their own in rebounding, and still sit second in the league in offensive rebound and total rebounds. They still lead the league in pace and while they are middle of the pack in field goal percentage at 16, Phoenix is second in field goal attempts and fourth in makes…In their victories, the Suns average 113.3 points. There is a relevant comparison in rebounds as well, as the Suns averages 53.3 rebounds in victories, and only 43.1 in losses…Phoenix is currently 1-2 on the second game of a back-to-back. They average 108.3 in the second games, however they allow 116.3…
Philadelphia 76ers
Joel Embiid is proving his worth so far this season averaging 17.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks. Each of those statistics rank number one among all 2016-17 rookies. He, however, leads the teams in turnovers at 4.4, and personal fouls at 3.5. Attacking him on offense early may lead to foul trouble and negating their best player’s ability to attempt to take over the game…Coming off the bench for Embiid, Jahlil Okafor is averaging 20.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per 36 minutes, and while Embiid average 7.1 fouls in that statistics, Okafor only averages 2.2…Coming off the bench as well, T.J. McConnell averages 4.8 assists per game (behind starter Sergio Rodriguez’s 7.0), which is only .1 off of Suns starting point guard Eric Bledsoe’s 4.9…Philadelphia is a poor scoring team, averaging a minuscule 95.9 good for only 27th in the league and only 96.1 at home…While the Suns average 17.6, the 76ers average only 10.8 fastbreak points per outing…Outside of currently sitting 8th in 3-point field goals attempted, the 76ers are not in the top-10th in any generic team category, and are only top-15 in steals (12th with 8.2 per game) and blocks (13th at 5.3 per game)…
