Numbers say Celtics are right there with Warriors and Spurs
The Boston Celtics entered this season with high expectations. After a slow 1-3 start, they're now 6-4, with wins over the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks.
That's impressive. Even more impressive is their net rating, which measures how many points per 100 possessions they're better or worse than the opposition. Over the last six games, it's kind of insane.
The Celtics aren't as good as the San Antonio Spurs or Golden State Warriors. Those are arguably the two best teams in the entire league.
But for Boston to shoulder its way into the conversation this early is a good indication that they're for real.
Boston's last six games have been against WAS, MIL, IND, ATL, OKC, HOU. A lot of playoff teams, and, umm... pic.twitter.com/thKYvfzJkC
