Nuggets Win in Convincing Fashion vs Depleted Jazz Team

The Denver Nuggets build a strong lead behind a great all around effort from the team.
No Nugget had a great game, as the Nuggets did a great job of sharing the ball and having a balanced game both offensively and defensively, but one player did really stand out, and it was none other than Jamal Murray.
The seventh overall draft pick in this past draft had himself a game against the Jazz. He scored 18 points on 75% shooting and 16 of those points came in the fourth quarter. With his solid night, it wouldn’t come as much of a surprise to see him getting a boost in minutes.

The Nuggets in general played their best game of the season. No player really played bad, and as a team the Nuggets had 31 assists and only 8 turnovers, both of which are the best of the season. Emmanuel Mudiay, who has been known for struggling with holding onto the ball, didn’t record a turnover for the second time in the past three games. He also added a near triple-double game and looked good for the third straight game.
The Nuggets also played amazing defense holding the Jazz to only 91 points. All of what the Nuggets have struggled on the start the season, went well tonight.
The only issue the Nuggets had in tonight’s big win was the free throw shooting. Arguably one of the most important parts of basketball, shooting free throws has been a struggle for the Nuggets, but tonight, it was at it’s worst. The Nuggets only shot 43% as a team from the free throw line which is unacceptable from an NBA team.
Outside of poor free throw shooting, the Nuggets overpowered the Jazz from start to finish behind solid performances from multiple players including, Jamal Murray, Emmanuel Mudiay, and Wilson Chandler.
The Nuggets will look to start a winning streak when the play the Bulls on Tuesday and can hopefully beat the Jazz twice in three games on Wednesday.
