Nobody wants Celtics' Isaiah Thomas to be an All-Star more than Floyd Mayweather
Floyd Mayweather is Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas' biggest fan. Nobody disputes this. The guy bought him a $200,000 Bentley for no particular reason, and even invited Thomas to train in Las Vegas over the summer.
The two clearly share a bond, and that means no length is too far for Mayweather to convince his followers on social media that Thomas deserves to play in February's All-Star Game:
Thomas deserves to play in the game, but it's unlikely even Mayweather can get him over the hump as a fan-vote starter. Thomas currently trails a slew of other guards in the Eastern Conference, including John Wall, Kyrie Irving and Dwyane Wade.
But Boston's best player is having himself one seriously good year, averaging 20.7 points and 6.8 assists per game (both career highs).
