NBA releases 2015-16 Nets regular-season schedule
You could've guessed that you wouldn't see the Nets on national television much in the upcoming season. Now, you can make that statement far more definitively.
The release of the NBA schedule Wednesday night told us the Nets wouldn't be playing many games off the YES Network. You can find the full schedule here. Here are some quick observations on the schedule:
• You figured the Nets might at least have a few nationally televised games. Ummm...nope. There's just one: a horribly depressing contest against the Knicks scheduled for Dec. 4. Is anyone outside of New York going to watch that game, especially if both teams are already seven or eight games under .500 already?
• This one isn't nationally televised, but it will be a big game for plenty of Nets fans: Deron Williams makes his return to Barclays Center as a member of the Mavericks on Dec. 23.
• The Nets could get off to a terrible start and not be able to recover. Not only are 11 of their first 16 games on the road, but they also have to deal with a West Coast swing during that stretch. Ouch. Major ouch.
