Mike Conley is channeling Bane at Grizzlies media day (VIDEO)
Mike Conley had a rough postseason last year, not because of performance but because he kept getting beat up. Conley missed three playoff contests and parts of others after fracturing his face in several places during the Grizzlies first-round series against the Warriors.
After he came back, it was with a mask on, and he dominated, showing off why he's one of the best point guards in the NBA. Now, he's the one donning the biggest Grizzlies billboard in town. From Ari Alexander of WMC Action News in Memphis:
So, what does all this have to do with Bane, the Batman villain featured in the Dark Knight Rises? Alexander points it out:
Conley seems a bit more light-hearted than Bane, but who knows? Maybe they've been one in the same all along.
