Published Feb. 11, 2016 5:40 p.m. ET

Former Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom attended Kanye West's listening party for his new album, "The Life of Pablo," at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Odom hadn't appeared in public since he was hospitalized Oct. 12 after an overdose left him in a coma. The former NBA star was joined by his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, whose sister Kim Kardashian is married to the iconic rapper. The 36-year-old Odom was escorted to his seat by West. According to TMZ, Odom says West's music "saved him" during his recovery.

The listening party streamed online via Tidal and was shown in 700 movie theaters in 23 counties around the world.
