Kyle Lowry sums up Raptors' up-and-down road trip in one sentence
Things were looking good for the Toronto Raptors as they rolled into the weekend. Headed into Monday, however, Kyle Lowry & Co. will have to figure out how to turn things around.
The Raptors capped a four-game road trip with a loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday, two days after Toronto's first loss of the season came against the Orlando Magic. And after the Sunday loss, Lowry summed up the Raptors' trip in one simple phrase (via Toronto Sun):
Lowry didn't leave things hanging on that cliche response, however. He dissected Toronto's woes the same way the Heat defenses dissected the Raptors' offense. The culprit in the losses? Turnovers, according to Lowry:
Beyond coughing up the ball, the Raptors have had problems getting easy shots and knocking them down. Against the Magic and Heat, Toronto was a combined 58-for-157 (36.9 percent) from the field.
“Things can be really good and things can be really bad in one trip.”
“We only shot the ball 71 times tonight and that’s not enough at all,” Lowry said. “We got to find a way to cut our turnovers down and make sure we get good shots and easy shots.”
