Karl-Anthony Towns seizes the ball (and future?) from Anthony Davis
So, in this case "the future" is just a ball. But man, it's a pretty darn important one.
Anthony Davis is supposed to be the NBA's next great top two or three player, but another one-and-done from the same school as his has been making a case for that standing of late. Karl-Anthony Towns isn't nearly as good as Davis right now, but it's tough to argue that anyone else (including the great Kristaps Porzingis) is worthy of garnering Rookie of the Year over him. He's putting up the best first NBA season we've seen in a while.
And here's one more reason why: Towns rips the ball down on an offensive board during Tuesday's loss to the Pelicans, goes one dribble, pumps three times, spins, gets AD in the air and sinks the post move.
That kid is going to be so darn good.
