Jason Smith says he learned work ethic by living on a farm near Denver

Orlando big man Jason Smith is one of the role players on the Magic that help define the team.

According to a recent story in the Orlando Sentinel, Smith grew up in a small town without a stoplight and grew up on a 20-acre farm an hour away from Denver. Smith returns to Colorado to play the Nuggets on Tuesday. He says he learned his impressive work ethic by living on the farm as a kid.

"Everybody thinks farming is a very easy job, but it's a very difficult and complex thing," said Smith, in the report. " ... It's a great way to live."
