Is Mike Miller's career over after Portland Trail Blazers bought him out?
Mike Miller never made much sense on the Portland Trail Blazers, a rebuilding team with little use for a 35-year-old forward who can't stay healthy.
And so, according to Yahoo's Shams Charania, Portland and Miller have agreed on a buyout:
The 15-year veteran appeared in 52 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers last year, but only played 65 total minutes during their run to the NBA Finals.
His outside shot is still pure, but Miller can't defend anyone or stay on the court for a lengthy stretch. He needs others to create all his shots, which is why having him beside a virtuous creator like LeBron James always made sense.
Portland does not have LeBron, though. And they aren't playing for much more than a trip to the lottery this season.

Portland Trail Blazers forward Mike Miller has finalized a contract buyout to enter free agency, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Once Miller clears waivers, the Denver Nuggets are among the teams with an interest in signing Miller, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Denver pursued Miller aggressively in free agency a year ago, before Miller signed a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Denver has 14 guaranteed contracts as it begins training camp this week. The Blazers acquired Miller in the Brendan Haywood trade in July, receiving two future second-round picks from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
