Following the Houston Rockets preseason opening win versus the Shanghai Sharks James Harden and K.J. McDaniels spoke to the media.

James Harden looked every bit as good as any top tier point guard in the NBA in the Houston Rockets preseason home opener. He spoke to the media following the convincing 131-94 victory over the Shanghai Sharks.

K.j. McDaniels was arguably the biggest surprise of the night. His repeated cuts to the basket resulting in wide open dunk opportunities attested to his growth and high I.Q. The Rockets shooting guard also spoke to the media.

Clearly Mike D’Antoni has discovered what many of us have seen from the youngster and have been dying for a coach to unleash. The combination of his athleticism, defensive prowess and newly discovered range bode well for the team moving forward.  He’ll push Corey Brewer which is a good thing, and it says here he’ll be the wing D’Antoni turns to first off the bench by mid season if not sooner.
