More details are emerging regarding the hospitalization of Miami Heat guard Gerald Green on Wednesday.

TMZ Sports obtained audio Thursday of the 911 call made from Green’s Miami condo in which the caller described the 29-year-old as “unconscious and bleeding.”

The former Slam Dunk Contest champion was brought to the hospital on Wednesday after reportedly acting erratically. Green is said to have been screaming at the top of his lungs and needing multiple people to restrain him and put him on a stretcher.

Fortunately, it looks like Green is doing OK now despite the frightening 911 call.

Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra commented on the situation before the team’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday, saying that Green was “safe and…healthy right now,” without offering any further updates per Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.

Green’s situation is certainly scary and bizarre, and more details are sure to surface in the coming days and weeks. But at the moment, it appears as though the ninth-year NBA guard is doing well.
