Brad Stevens: Terry Rozier's 'speed is the highest level'

Boston Celtics rookie point guard Terry Rozier has the physical tools to make everyone disappointed the team selected him with the 16th overall pick quickly forget they were ever upset.

At a practice that was open to the media last Friday, Rozier showed off a bit of his speed in transition, and afterwards head coach Brad Stevens expressed how excited he was with the team's new prospect, per MassLive's Jay King:

"I don't want to overdo it. We've played 18 total minutes of scrimmaging. His speed is the highest level. Once we start going up and down in the fullcourt, he did a lot of things that kind of took you aback. At the same time, he's got a lot to learn and a lot to work on," he said. "But I know he'll do that. I've got no question about that."

Despite Boston having a loaded backcourt, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Rozier enter Stevens' rotation at some point next season. He has the tools to be one of the better two-way players at his size, and can't improve unless he's given the minutes to make mistakes.
