DENVER -- Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried says he's "doing much better" after being taken off the court on a stretcher with a neck injury following a loss to Golden State the night before.

Faried posted on Instagram on Sunday he's "a little sore, but I'm the Manimal -- I'm not going to (let) this keep me down & out long!" The Nuggets had no immediate update. The team plays Sunday against Portland.

Faried took an elbow to the back of the neck while fighting for a rebound late in overtime. He rubbed his neck before lying down at the end of Denver's bench.

He was later removed from the court on a stretcher and taken to a hospital as a precaution while the Nuggets flew home.
