Scheckter and SH to race together again

Published Aug. 12, 2011 12:42 a.m. ET

SH Racing and Tomas Scheckter are reteaming at Baltimore after a successful run at the Indianapolis 500.

Scheckter will drive the Redline Xtreme car through the streets of Baltimore on Sept. 2-4. Scheckter drove for SH Racing at the 100th Indianapolis 500 in May, finishing eighth in a car built by KV Racing Technology.

SH Racing plans to announce a new technical partnership next week for the Baltimore Grand Prix, with eyes on a possible fulltime IndyCar run in 2012.

Scheckter is driving this weekend at New Hampshire for Dreyer & Reinbold in place of Justin Wilson, who suffered a burst fracture of his fifth vertebrae during practice at last week's race in Ohio.
