Will Ferrell shows skills in 'Ferrell Takes the Field' HBO promo (VIDEO)
During one fateful day back in March, comedian/actor Will Ferrell suited up for 10 MLB teams in a stunt filmed in conjunction with HBO and Stand Up to Cancer and Cancer for College.
Titled "Ferrell Takes the Field," an hourlong special documenting his experience will have its HBO debut on Sept. 12. On Monday, the network premiered a 90-second trailer to ramp up anticipation for what looks to be an hour of zany hijinks with one of Hollywood's most celebrated comic talents.
As a refresher: Over the course of the day, Ferrell donned an official uniform and played at least one position on the field for the Mariners, A's, Cubs, Angels, Reds, Diamondbacks, Giants, White Sox, Dodgers and Padres. His travels around Arizona caused some amusing delays in the spring training schedule, as he and his trailing camera crew frequently helicoptered around to his next appointment. Everybody involved seemed to have a lot of fun with the whole thing, too.
