Red Sox 1B Hanley Ramirez hurt his wrist in a freak baseball accident

Everything fell apart for the Red Sox in their 5-4 loss to the Mariners on Tuesday night. And then Hanley Ramirez literally fell.
The first baseman was walking from the dugout to the clubhouse following the game’s final out when he slipped on the steps and jammed his left wrist.
"After the game, he was walking down the dugout, there's two or three steps at the bottom of the dugout going into the clubhouse," Red Sox manager John Farrell said, per the Red Sox’s website. "He lost his footing, caught himself behind and jammed his left wrist. It's precautionary to see what's going on there."
Ramirez continued his hot hitting with a double and a solo homer in the game, which Boston led 4-0 until Seattle rallied for five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. He has six homers and 14 RBI in 17 games since the All-Star break, so even a short absence would be costly for the Red Sox.
Oh, and about that Ramirez homer: It actually refused to fall.
