UCLA band celebrates Troy Aikman as his jersey is retired
Troy Aikman's career at UCLA led to the quarterback being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. On Friday, the Bruins honored the three-time Super Bowl winner by retiring his No. 8.
The FOX Sports announcer was 20-4 during his two years at UCLA -- he began his college years at Oklahoma.
"Troy is the embodiment of what it means to be a Bruin," UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero said.
At halftime of Friday's game with Stanford at the Rose Bowl, the UCLA band paid tribute to Aikman by forming his No. 8:

Aikman was inducted into College Football Hall of Fame in 2008, two years after receiving the same honor at the Pro Football shrine in Canton.
Aikman completed 406 of 627 passes for 5,298 yards and 41 touchdowns as a Bruin in 1987 and '88. He ranks third on the school's career charts for completion percentage, sixth for touchdown passes and completions, seventh for passing yards and eighth for total offense (5,294 yards).
