Derek Forbort - Logs helper in win
Forbort notched an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Impact
Forbort has two helpers over his last six outings. The 32-year-old has seen a larger role during the absence of Quinn Hughes (undisclosed). Forbort is still a defense-first blueliner at heart, so it's not expected he'll be a big factor on offense most of the time. For the season, he's produced five helpers, 23 shots on net, 42 blocked shots and 28 PIM across 29 appearances, surpassing his point total (four) from 35 contests in the 2023-24 regular season.

Elias Pettersson - Grabs apple in win
Pettersson notched an assist and three blocked shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Impact
Pettersson set up a Filip Hronek tally in the first period. The assist was Pettersson's first point over four contests in February. The 26-year-old center has just 34 points with 92 shots on net, 46 hits, 60 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 49 outings in a frustrating 2024-25 campaign. He'll play for Sweden at the 4 Nations Face-Off, and maybe he'll be able to build up some momentum in international play to fuel a strong finish to his NHL season.

Kevin Lankinen - Brilliant in relief
Lankinen made 21 saves in relief in a 2-1 win over Toronto on Saturday.
Impact
Thatcher Demko left the game midway through the first period, and Lankinen stepped into the blue paint and excelled. He was especially great late, making a sprawling glove save on Auston Matthews on a power play with under two minutes to play to preserve the lead and win. Lankinen's success this season has given him a role for Team Finland at the 4 Nations Face-Off, which starts Wednesday. He's 19-8-7 with a 2.53 GAA and .905 save percentage heading into the tourney. There is no information on Demko's injury or potential absence.

Brock Boeser - Nets winner on power play
Boeser scored the game-winning goal Saturday in a 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Impact
It came on the power play. Boeser cut through the slot, took a pass and shot low past the left pad of Joseph Woll, who was screened on the play. It was his 197th snipe in the NHL, which moved him into a tie with Thomas Gradin for ninth in Canucks history. Boeser has two power-play goals in his last three games. The sniper has 18 goals and 17 assists in 48 games, but he has just 99 shots. Last season, he had 204. We all know the results that a more few shots will bring, so let's get at it, Brock.

Filip Hronek - Five points in five games
Hronek had a goal and assist in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Impact
Hronek pinched down from the right point, and Elias Pettersson hit his tape with a perfect cross-ice, backdoor pass from the left point boards. He put it up over Joseph Woll's glove to open the scoring. Hronek also helped on the winning goal by hustling to keep the puck in at the left point before starting the passing play that led to Brock Boeser's winning goal. Hronek missed 21 games through mid-January with both an upper-body injury and a lower-body procedure, but he's moving so well right now. He has five points (one goal, four assists) in his past five games.

Elias Pettersson - Assigned to farm team
Pettersson was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.
Impact
The 20-year-old defenseman will get to play while the Canucks are off for two weeks during the 4 Nations Face-Off. Pettersson has started to push for third-pairing minutes in Vancouver, but he may not be needed on the NHL roster following the break if Quinn Hughes (undisclosed) is healthy by the time the Canucks face the Golden Knights on Feb. 22.

ROTOWIRE
Nils Aman - Heads back to AHL
Aman was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.
Impact
Aman was sent down after playing in each of the Canucks' last two games. He has just two assists over seven NHL appearances this season. If he is called up ahead of the Canucks' Feb. 22 game versus the Golden Knights, it'll likely be to serve in a fourth-line role, but the 25-year-old will play regularly with Abbotsford in the interim.

Linus Karlsson - Bounced to AHL
Karlsson was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.
Impact
Karlsson's stay in the minors this time is likely to be longer, as the Canucks don't play again until Feb. 22 in Vegas. He has been bounced between levels multiple times to save cap space. Karlsson didn't play in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs.

Thatcher Demko - Exits contest in first period
Demko (undisclosed) won't return to Saturday's game versus the Maple Leafs.
Impact
Demko lasted 10:00 into the contest, stopping all six shots he faced. Kevin Lankinen took over in goal when Demko exited. The one silver lining here is that Demko will have two weeks to recover before the Canucks' next game Feb. 22 versus the Golden Knights. The severity of the injury was not immediately known.

Impact
Demko lasted 10:00 into the contest, stopping all six shots he faced. Kevin Lankinen took over in goal when Demko exited. The one silver lining here is that Demko will have two weeks to recover before the Canucks' visit to Vegas on Feb. 22 because of the 4 Nations Face-Off. The severity of the 29-year-old goalie's injury is unclear at this time.
