Continuing career in Switzerland Milano signed a one-year contract with SC Bern of the Swiss National League on Wednesday, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

Impact Milano was held to eight points over 31 appearances for the Capitals this season, and he ended the year in the AHL. Given the winger's declining usage in recent years, this may be the last we've seen of him in the NHL, though that's far from a given since he's just entering his age-30 season in 2026-27.

Three points in return to AHL Milano scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Hershey's 4-1 win over Rockford on Friday.

Impact Milano was waived Wednesday and reported to Hershey a day later. The 29-year-old will likely be waiting for an injury to thin out the Capitals' depth for his next chance in the NHL. He hasn't been an AHL regular since 2018-19, when he logged 24 points in 27 contests for Cleveland.
