Lwal Uguak - Reverts to IR Uguak (undisclosed) reverted to injured reserve Wednesday, according to the NFL's transaction log.
Impact The defensive tackle will need to reach an injury settlement with Tampa Bay to have a chance to play in 2024. Uguak played his college ball at Uconn and TCU before getting drafted into the Canadian Football League for the 2023 season, where he made 16 tackles in 18 regular-season games for the Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes.

Shaun Peterson Jr. - Reverts to injured reserve Peterson reverted to injured reserve Wednesday, according to the NFL's transaction log.
Impact The linebacker needs to reach an injury settlement with the Buccaneers to have a chance to play in 2024. The 24-year-old made 14 tackles in 12 games in 2023 for UCF.

Jordan Whitehead - Gets back on practice field Whitehead (quadriceps) will resume practicing Tuesday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Impact Whitehead missed the majority of training camp and all three of Tampa Bay's preseason contests due to a lingering quadriceps injury, so it's encouraging to see him back at practice in at least a limited capacity. The starting safety has just under two weeks remaining to get fully healthy prior to the Buccaneers' regular-season opener against Washington on Sept. 8.

Chase Edmonds - On IR with knee injury Edmonds was placed on season-ending injured reserve Monday due to a knee injury, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Impact The 28-year-old RB won't be designated for a return, meaning the only way he can play this season is if he reaches an injury settlement to be released by Tampa Bay. Edmonds hasn't practiced since the first week of training camp and recently had arthroscopic surgery on his injured knee.

Impact The transaction means Jarrett will have to sit out for at least the first four games of the season but will be eligible to return come Week 5. Whether there's space for him on the 53-man roster at that point may depend on the health of the Buccaneers' other running backs.

Impact Edmonds has been nursing an undisclosed injury throughout training camp, and it will now cost him the 2024 season. As a result, Bucky Irving, Sean Tucker and DJ Williams will be the remaining candidates for a depth role at running back behind Rachaad White. There is a scenario that could see Tampa activated off IR once his health is back up to par, but it remains to be seen if they would choose to do so.

Chase McLaughlin - Clean effort in preseason finale McLaughlin converted his only field-goal attempt from 51 yards and made all three of his extra-point tries in the Buccaneers' 24-14 preseason win over the Dolphins on Friday night.
Impact McLaughlin had a miss apiece in each of the first two exhibitions, so his long make Friday was a particularly welcome sight. The veteran had missed from 51 yards in the first preseason game against the Bengals, but he knocked through seven of eight tries from 50+ during a stellar 2023. With Baker Mayfield and some of the Buccaneers' other key offensive starters showing well during their preseason cameos against Miami, there's optimism McLaughlin should enjoy plenty of fantasy relevance again this coming season while attached to what should be a productive offense.

Payne Durham - One catch in preseason finale Durham brought in his only target for 13 yards in the Buccaneers' 24-14 preseason win over the Dolphins on Friday night.
Impact The second-year tight end was able to get in one last bit of preseason action after missing the second exhibition against the Jaguars due to a knee injury suffered during a joint practice with Jacksonville. Durham was able to practice for multiple days leading into Friday's contest against the Dolphins, so he should be set to fill his No. 2 tight end role behind Cade Otton without limitations right from the onset of the regular season.

Kameron Johnson - Five touches in preseason debut Johnson brought in three of five targets for 12 yards and rushed twice for 13 yards in the Buccaneers' 24-14 preseason win over the Dolphins on Saturday night.
Impact The Barton College product overcame a multi-week rib injury just in time to participate in the final preseason game, and while he didn't do anything spectacular with his touches, Johnson was kept busy during his time in the game. The undrafted rookie had impressed throughout the offseason and early in training camp, so he may have a good shot at sticking on the practice squad come final cutdowns.

Bucky Irving - Records 31 total yards in win Irving rushed six times for 26 yards and brought in his only target for five yards in the Buccaneers' 24-14 preseason win over the Dolphins on Friday night.
Impact The rookie had drawn the start in the first two preseason games, but Rachaad White saw his first and only action of the exhibition slate Friday and was the first running back in. Irving checked in on the second possession and put together another solid performance relative to opportunity, and he appears set to start the regular season as the clear-cut No. 2 back behind White.

Kyle Trask - Strong showing in preseason finale Trask completed 17 of 24 passes for 141 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while adding one carry for one yard in the Buccaneers' 24-14 preseason win over the Dolphins...
Impact Baker Mayfield started and led the Buccaneers on a touchdown drive during the opening possession, and Trask subsequently took over for the duration of the contest.
