Playoff-bound Cardinals eye shot at NFC West vs. Seahawks
Arizona still has a shot at the NFC West title, the No. 2 seed in the playoff bracket and home-field advantage in the first two rounds of the postseason

Puts in another limited practice
Conner (heel) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Conner has missed two straight games due to a heel injury, but he now has logged two consecutive limited sessions dating back to last week. Chase Edmonds, who filled in for Conner as the Cardinals' lead running back during that span, didn't practice at all Wednesday with rib and toe issues. Conner seems to be in a better place health-wise than Edmonds at the moment, but how the rest of Week 18 transpires will determine who among the two is available Sunday against the Seahawks. When active this season, Conner has averaged 15.6 touches per game versus Edmonds' 13.3.

Another absence Sunday
Conner (heel) is inactive for Sunday's game at Dallas, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Impact
There was a glimmer of hope for Conner to return to action after he managed a limited practice Friday, his first appearance on the field since picking up a heel injury back in Week 15. While he was considered a game-time decision for a second straight contest, he'll log another DNP on his game log. Conner thus will hand most of the backfield reps to Chase Edmonds, who notched 24 touches for 127 yards yards from scrimmage and one TD in Week 16 against the Colts.

Impact
Conner is listed as questionable for the contest after returning to a limited practice Friday following a missed session Thursday. If he is made active for Sunday's 4:25 ET contest, Conner would be in line to return to a backfield timeshare with Chase Edmonds.

Questionable for Sunday
Conner (heel) returned to a limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Chase Edmonds (back) upgraded to full participation Friday and thus avoids an injury designation, after handling 24 touches and a 92 percent snap share in a 22-16 loss to Indianapolis last Saturday -- the first game Conner has missed all season. Conner could be a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, with his potential absence locking in Edmonds for a large workload and Eno Benjamin for a backup role. If Conner plays, he'll likely return to his timeshare with Edmonds.

Another absence from practice
Conner (heel) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Impact
Conner now has been listed as a DNP on five consecutive injury reports, the result of a heel injury. Coach Kliff Kingsbury again considers Conner to be a game-time decision for Sunday's contest at Dallas, according to Urban. But such comments last week yielded inactive status for Conner this past Saturday against the Colts. He may head into the weekend with a questionable designation -- as he did a week ago -- while backfield mate Chase Edmonds could be listed the same way, as he was limited during the first two practices of Week 17 prep.

Not practicing yet
Conner (heel) didn't practice Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Impact
Conner has yet to practice due to the heel issue that he picked up coming out of the Cardinals' Week 15 loss to the Lions. Last week, his availability came down to the wire before he was ultimately inactive ahead of the Cardinals' loss to the Colts. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Wednesday that Conner will be in a similar situation this week, with the running back's status likely coming down to a game-time call ahead of a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday in Dallas, according to Urban. Conner would do himself well by mixing into drills Thursday and/or Friday, but it should be noted that position mate Chase Edmonds (back) was limited by in Wednesday's session, placing a cloud over both of the top two options out of the Arizona backfield.

Impact
Per the report, the same applies to wideout Rondale Moore (ankle). If Conner, who was inactive in Week 16, remains out or is limited at all this weekend, fellow running back Chase Edmonds would once again be in line for an expanded role in the Cardinals' backfield versus Dallas.

Still day-to-day with heel injury
Coach Kliff Kingsbury considers Conner (heel) day-to-day as of Monday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
The Cardinals held Conner out of practice last week so he could rest his heel issue. All along, though, both the running back and the team were optimistic he'd be able to play through the injury. In the end, Conner didn't heal enough to suit up Saturday against the Colts, which gave the keys to the backfield to Chase Edmonds. Edmonds ended up reeling off 127 yards from scrimmage and one TD on 24 touches, or a similar workload to what Conner handled when he was the unquestioned back during the former's four-game stint on injured reserve. Conner could set himself on a path to return by mixing into practice Wednesday through Friday.

Expected to play Saturday
Conner (heel) is expected to play Saturday night against the Colts, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact
Though Conner didn't practice this past week, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com previously relayed that the running back was optimistic about suiting up for the contest, while noting that his ability to contribute would come down to pain management in terms of his heel. Either way, Conner's Week 16 status will be confirmed when the Cardinals' inactives are posted prior to Saturday's 8:15 ET kickoff. If active, he'd presumably work in a time-share with Chase Edmonds.
