Broncos' new addition: What Elijah Moore brings to the team

The Broncos have added Elijah Moore to their practice squad after his release from Buffalo
1 DAY AGO • Associated Press
Broncos sign WR Elijah Moore to practice squad Moore, a 2021 second-round pick, has recorded 209 career catches for 2,274 yards and nine touchdowns in his career.
2 DAYS AGO • DENVERBRONCOS.COM
Catches on with Denver Moore agreed to sign with the Broncos' practice squad Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Impact Denver will mark the fourth stop of Moore's five-year NFL career, after the 25-year-old wideout previously had stints with the Jets, Browns and Bills since entering the league as a second-round pick in 2021. Before being cut by Buffalo last week, Moore had been active for nine of the team's first 11 games and produced a 9-112-0 receiving line on 17 targets while adding 24 yards and a touchdown on six carries. All five of Denver's receivers on the 53-man roster are healthy at the moment, so Moore won't necessarily be in line for an elevation from the practice squad for the team's Week 14 matchup with the Raiders.

Visits Denver Moore was hosted by the Broncos for a visit Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Impact Moore was waived by the Bills on Wednesday, but he has yet to find a new home. The wide receiver has caught nine of 17 targets for 112 yards while also adding 24 yards and a score on six carries over nine games with Buffalo this season. The 25-year-old would provide Denver with another experienced option at wideout, if the team decided to give him a deal.

Let go by Bills The Bills released Moore on Wednesday.
Impact Following the addition of fellow WR Brandin Cooks, the Bills elected to part ways with Moore. In nine games to date this season, the 2021 second-rounder recorded nine catches (on 17 targets) for 112 yards, while carrying six times for 24 yards and a TD. Moore should catch on elsewhere in the coming days, but unless he lands in an ideal spot, he'll remain off the fantasy radar.

One catch Thursday Moore caught one of three targets for minus-3 yards in Thursday's 23-19 loss to the Texans.
Impact Moore returned to action after being a healthy scratch in Week 11 against the Buccaneers, but his contributions remained minimal. The Bills are searching for consistent production at wide receiver behind Khalil Shakir, but Moore doesn't seem to be the answer.

Inactive Sunday Moore is inactive for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
Impact With Keon Coleman and Moore both being healthy scratches Sunday, Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Gabe Davis, Tyrell Shavers, Curtis Samuel and Mecole Hardman will handle the Bills' Week 11 WR duties.
NOVEMBER 16 • ROTOWIRE
Makes two catches in loss to Miami Moore secured both of his targets for nine yards during Buffalo's loss to the Dolphins in Week 10.
Impact Moore continues to handle a depth gig in Buffalo's pass-catching corps, and he figures to reprise a similar role at home against the Buccaneers on Sunday. Across three regular-season appearances since the Bills' bye, Moore has tallied four grabs for 51 yards on seven targets.

Minimal output in win Moore caught his lone target for 28 yards during Sunday's 28-21 win over the Chiefs.
Impact Moore appeared to be in line for more opportunities in Week 9 with Joshua Palmer (knee) sidelined for the second consecutive game. However, the Ole Miss product operated as the team's No. 5 wideout, playing behind Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, Tyrell Shavers and Curtis Samuel. Through seven appearances this season, Moore has caught six of 12 targets for 106 yards and rushed five times for 25 yards and a touchdown. He'll likely continue to play a depth role in Buffalo's receiving corps heading into the Week 10 matchup against the Dolphins.
NOVEMBER 3 • ROTOWIRE
No. 3 receiver again Sunday Moore is slated to work as the No. 3 receiver in Sunday's Week 9 matchup against the Chiefs due to Joshua Palmer being ruled inactive due to a knee injury.
Impact Moore worked in a No. 3 capacity in a Week 8 blowout win over the Panthers, bringing in one of four targets for 14 yards across 29 snaps. With Sunday's game expected to be much more competitive and Josh Allen potentially pushed into a higher pass rate than usual, Moore, who has a 5-78-0 line on 11 targets over his first six games in Buffalo, could be a beneficiary as a tertiary option in the air attack.
NOVEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE
Draws four targets in Week 8 Moore caught one of four targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 40-9 win over the Panthers.
Impact With Joshua Palmer (knee) sidelined in Week 8, Moore had an expanded offensive role and logged his second-highest snap count of the season (29 offensive snaps). The Ole Miss product has now caught five of 11 targets for 78 yards and rushed five times for 25 yards and a touchdown across six appearances this year. He may be in line for another increased role in the Week 9 matchup against the Chiefs if Palmer remains out.

OCTOBER 14 • Associated Press
Mistake-prone Week 6 Moore failed to catch either of his two targets in Monday night's loss to the Falcons.
Impact With Curtis Samuel (neck) inactive and Joshua Palmer (ankle) going down in the first half, Moore saw increased action on offense, totaling 14 snaps. However, he was unable to corral either targets and also muffed a handoff on a fourth-and-short jet sweep. Moore has five catches for 25 yards and one touchdown on seven targets this season.
OCTOBER 14 • ROTOWIRE
Active against Atlanta Moore is active for Monday night's game against the Falcons.
Impact Moore was healthy inactive last Sunday night against New England, but with Curtis Samuel (neck) out Monday night, Moore will draw back into the lineup. Moore has four catches for 64 scoreless yards this season.
OCTOBER 13 • ROTOWIRE
Inactive Sunday Moore (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday night's contest against the Patriots.
Impact Moore will be a healthy scratch in Week 5, heading to the bench after failing to garner a target over 18 offensive snaps in the team's 31-19 win over the Saints in Week 4. The wide receiver has caught four of five targets for 64 yards, while also adding 25 yards and a score over five carries, through four games this season.
OCTOBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
No targets vs. New Orleans Moore rushed once for no yards during Sunday's 31-19 win over the Saints.
Impact The 2021 second-round pick from Ole Miss has now tallied 25 rushing yards on the season, receiving a carry in all of Buffalo's games. However, the 25-year-old played fewer offensive snaps (18) than Curtis Samuel (20), who caught one of two targets for nine yards in Week 4. Moore is now likely serving as the Bills' No. 5 wideout and will continue to play a depth role in a Week 5 matchup against the Patriots.

Catches two passes in TNF victory Moore caught two of three targets for 30 yards in Buffalo's 31-21 win over the Dolphins on Thursday night. He added one rush for 11 yards.
Impact Moore operated as the Bills' WR4 against Miami, seeing 14 offensive snaps. Buffalo spreads the ball around so much that it's nearly impossible to predict target shares for the Bills. Moore is little more than an end-of-bench option in the deepest of PPR fantasy leagues.
