INJURIES

Budda Baker - Six more tackles Sunday Baker compiled six tackles and one quarterback hit during Sunday's 19-9 defeat at Seattle.
Impact Despite tying his second-lowest tackle tally of the campaign, Baker continues to lead the Cardinals in stops with 45, just ahead of inside linebacker Zaven Collins (41) and fellow safety Jalen Thompson (40). Both Collins (shoulder, limited) and Thompson (hamstring, DNP) showed up on Monday's estimated injury report, so Baker could be poised for even more opportunities Thursday versus the Saints if either of those players are limited or sidelined.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Zaven Collins - Still dealing with shoulder injury Collins (shoulder) was listed as limited on Monday's estimated practice report, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Impact During Sunday's 19-9 loss in Seattle, Collins went off for nine tackles, including two sacks, and he now ranks second on the Cards in terms of tackles (41) behind safety Budda Baker (45) through six games. Collins has been dealing with a shoulder issue since a Week 3 matchup against the Rams, but he's proceeded to earn 100 percent of the defensive snaps in each of the team's last three contests. He'll look to ditch his injury designation ahead of Thursday's outing against the Saints.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Matt Prater - Logs DNP Prater (hip) was a non-participant on the Cardinals' estimated practice report Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Impact Prater has missed the last two weeks due to the injury, and although he was an estimated DNP, the team cut Matthew Ammendola on Monday, who had been his replacement during the absences. So, it's pretty unclear whether the Cardinals believe Prater will be kicking for them come Thursday when they host the Saints, especially since they haven't signed another kicker yet.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Eno Benjamin - Limited on estimated report Benjamin was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate due to a foot injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Impact With James Conner (ribs) and Darrel Williams (knee) sidelined Sunday at Seattle, Benjamin paced Arizona's backfield to the tune of an 87-percent share of offensive snaps (62 of 71) en route to 18 touches for 65 yards from scrimmage. As for the other healthy RBs, rookie Keaontay Ingram took three carries for seven yards on nine plays on offense, while Corey Clement was used exclusively on special teams. Now, Benjamin is dealing with an injury of his own, though he at least would have practiced if the Cardinals had held a session Monday, which can't be said for DNPs Conner and Williams. The next few days of prep will determine if Benjamin again is in line to be the team's primary back Thursday against the Saints.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Jalen Thompson - Dealing with injury Thompson (hamstring) was a DNP on the Cardinals' estimated practice report for Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Impact Thompson played 100 percent of the snaps in the team's loss to the Seahawks on Sunday, so it's not clear when he may have suffered the injury. Despite it just being an estimate, and Thompson being able to log a full workload Sunday, his estimated absence creates some concern with the Cardinals on a short week and hosting the Saints on Thursday.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Marquise Brown - Getting second opinion An MRI revealed Brown's left foot injury won't require surgery and may sideline him for six weeks, but the wideout will get a second opinion before moving forward, Ian Rapoport of...
Impact This is certainly an encouraging development after news dropped earlier Monday that Brown may miss the remainder of the season, but the extent of his issue remains unclear. On Monday, the Cardinals traded for Robbie Anderson and activated DeAndre Hopkins to the active roster following a six-game suspension, a pair that'll join Rondale Moore and A.J. Green to cover for Brown's absence.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Darrel Williams - DNP on estimated report Williams (knee) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Impact Williams suffered a sprained knee during the team's Week 5 loss to Philadelphia and was sidelind for Week 6, along with starting running back James Conner (ribs). Both backs were listed as non-participants Monday, while Eno Benjamin, who took over as the primary running back against Seattle, was listed as limited due to a foot injury. Per Urban, coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday that Williams is unlikely to play Thursday against the Saints, while Conner is day-to-day.

Panthers trade Robbie Anderson to Cardinals after sideline ejection

Just a day after a sideline blowup with interim head coach Steve Wilks, Robbie Anderson has a new home in Arizona.

Panthers trade Robbie Anderson to Cardinals after sideline ejection
James Conner - DNP on estimated report Conner (ribs) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Impact Conner sat out Week 6 after not practicing due to a rib injury he picked up a week prior. Fellow running back Darrel Williams (knee) also was ruled out, paving the way for Eno Benjamin (foot) to garner an increased role. However, all three of those backs were listed on Arizona's practice estimate Monday, with Benjamin the only one labeled as a limited participant. Considering it's a short week ahead of Thursday's matchup against New Orleans, it may be difficult for Conner or Williams to ramp all the way up to game action, but reports Tuesday and Wednesday should provide more clarity on how Arizona's running back room will look Week 7.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
DeAndre Hopkins - Activated to 53-man roster Arizona activated Hopkins, who served a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substances policy, to the 53-man roster Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN repo...
Impact Hopkins missed the end of the 2021 campaign due to an MCL sprain, but he moved past that injury during the offseason and is expected to be full go Week 7. There's a little concern that the wideout won't have a full week of practice under his belt before he makes his first appearance of the season, but there hasn't been any reports about Hopkins being limited for Thursday's matchup against the Saints. With Marquise Brown (ankle) sidelined for the foreseeable future, Hopkins should be Arizona's clear No. 1 target moving forward.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Justin Pugh - May be done for season Pugh may have suffered a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Pugh will undergo additional testing to confirm the worst-case scenario. He suffered the injury in the first half of the game and was unable to return. Following the loss, he was seen wearing a brace on his leg, and he was expected to have an MRI on the knee.

Cardinals acquire WR Robbie Anderson from Panthers

The Arizona Cardinals have made a move to bolster their struggling offense, adding veteran receiver Robbie Anderson in a trade with the Carolina Panthers
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • Associated Press
Marquise Brown - Potentially out for season Brown suffered a potentially season-ending foot injury during Sunday's loss to the Seahawks and will undergo further testing Monday to determine the severity of the issue, Adam Sch...
Impact Brown's X-rays came back negative, but he had a walking boot on his left foot following Sunday's loss. The extent of issue remains unclear, but based on Schefter's report, there's a possibility the wideout could miss the remainder of the season. Arizona has already begun to mitigate its loss by trading for Robbie Anderson, who'd grown disgruntled in Carolina, and will likely get DeAndre Hopkins back from a six-game suspension in Week 7. Regardless, Brown was by far the Cardinals most productive offensive player through six games, totaling 43 receptions for 485 yards and three scores, so his loss will be a major blow to Arizona's offense.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Robbie Anderson - Traded to Arizona Carolina traded Anderson to Arizona on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact The trade comes one day after Anderson was sent off the field by interim head coach Steven Wilks during the team's Week 6 loss to the Rams. Anderson wasn't targeted during the game and was spotted in a verbal argument with receivers coach Joe Dailey, per Joe Person of The Athletic. Per Rapoport, the Panthers had been shopping Anderson since the firing of Matt Rhule following Week 5 and even contemplated releasing the wideout, but they were able to get a 2024 sixth-round pick and a 2025 seventh-round pick from Cardinals, who may be without Marquise Brown (ankle) for the entire season. However, Arizona is expected to get DeAndre Hopkins back in Week 7 after he served a six-game suspension for violating the league's performance-enhancing substances policy, so Anderson figures to slot in as the Cardinals' No. 2 or 3 wideout. Given the upgrade at quarterback, this seems to be a positive development for Anderson's overall fantasy potential, but he may face an adjustment period to start.

NFL odds week 6: Sportsbooks win thanks to underdogs, upsets
Rondale Moore - Heavily involved Moore recorded six receptions on 10 targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Seahawks.
Impact Moore tied for the team lead in targets with Zach Ertz, though Marquise Brown (ankle) was forced to exit the game prematurely. As has typically been the case, Moore worked primarily in the short areas of the field. However, he did rack up yards after the catch on two occasions to tally receptions of 26 and 16 yards. Moore should remain heavily involved in the offense even with the return of DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) so long as Marquise Brown (ankle) is forced to miss Thursday's Week 7 matchup against the Saints.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Eno Benjamin - Produces as pass catcher Benjamin rushed the ball 15 times for 37 yards in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Seahawks. He added three receptions for 28 yards.
Impact Benjamin accounted for 15 of the team's 18 carries by running backs, though Kyler Murray also tallied 10 rushing attempts. Benjamin was bottled up on the ground and his longest gain went for only six yards. He salvaged his day with his work as a receiver and managed to rack up 65 total yards. It remains to be seen whether James Conner (ribs) or Darrel Williams (knee) will be able to return in Week 7, but the Cardinals play Thursday which could lead to Benjamin getting another turn as the team's lead back.

NFL Week 6 top plays: Eagles top Cowboys; Bills edge Chiefs

Week 6 of the NFL has been a wild one, with several underdogs prevailing. Here are the top plays!

NFL Week 6 top plays: Eagles top Cowboys; Bills edge Chiefs
Zach Ertz - Another 10 targets Ertz recorded seven receptions on 10 targets for 70 yards in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Seahawks.
Impact Ertz tied for the team lead in targets with Rondale Moore, though that was skewed by the early exit of Marquise Brown (ankle). Regardless of the reason, Ertz has now seen double-digit targets in consecutive games -- and for the fourth time in six games. He made more of his opportunity against the Seahawks, with much of his production coming on a 32-yard reception late in the third quarter. Though this was an encouraging performance, target distribution in Arizona could change significantly as DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) is due back in Week 7 against the Saints.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Kyler Murray - Inefficient through air Murray completed 23 of 37 passes for 222 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Seahawks. He added 10 rushes for 100 yards.
Impact The Seahawks have been a favorable matchup for opposing quarterbacks this season, but Murray failed to take advantage. He averaged only 6.0 yards per attempt, though he did manage four completions of more than 20 yards -- his highest mark in any game this season. Most encouraging was Murray's aggressiveness on the ground, as he tallied a season-high 100 rushing yards. If Murray continues to be aggressive with his legs, he could begin to produce more as expected prior to the season as he and the Cardinals will welcome back DeAndre Hopkins (suspension) in Week 7.

Cardinals need help for offense as Hopkins' return looms

DeAndre Hopkins can’t rejoin the Arizona Cardinals soon enough
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • Associated Press
Marquise Brown - Sports boot after negative x-rays X-rays on Brown's ankle came back negative, but he had a walking boot on his left foot after Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Seahawks, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site report...
Impact While Brown didn't break any bones, the boot suggests he may have suffered ligament damage. A high ankle sprain could mean a 4-6 week absence for Brown, who caught five of nine targets for 68 yards before getting hurt. Even recovering from a milder low ankle sprain would be an uphill battle before Thursday's Week 7 clash with the Saints, but at least Arizona's expected to get fellow wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins back from suspension for that one.
OCTOBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Justin Pugh - Seen with brace on leg Pugh was seen with a brace on his right leg following Sunday's loss to the Seahawks, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Impact Pugh sustained his knee injury during the first half of Sunday's matchup and was unable to return down the stretch. The left guard will undergo an MRI, which should help provide clarity regarding his status for Thursday's game against New Orleans.

Walker runs for key TD, Seahawks beat Cardinals 19-9

Rookie Kenneth Walker III rushed for an 11-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter, and the Seattle Seahawks beat the Arizona Cardinals 19-9
OCTOBER 16, 2022 • Associated Press
Marquise Brown - Hurts ankle late in Week 6 Brown needed help to get to the locker room in the second half of Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN reports.
Impact Weinfuss' ESPN colleague Field Yates reports that Brown couldn't put any weight on his ankle after being rolled up on. Brown had five catches for 68 yards prior to being injured. With a short week ahead of him before Thursday's game against the Saints, Brown could miss at least one additional game.
