Impact Porzingis was held out of Friday's preseason finale against the Knicks due to the minor left ankle sprain, but his absence looks like it was mostly for precautionary purposes. Now that he's back practicing in full three days ahead of Wednesday's opener in Indiana, Porzingis looks as though he'll be ready to go for the start of the regular season. In his 17 appearances with the Wizards last season after coming over from the Mavericks at the trade deadline, Porzingis averaged 22.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest.

Impact Dotson will likely end up on the team's G League affiliate after being signed in late September and let go Saturday. He joins Quenton Jackosn, Craig Sword and James Echenique as waives by Washington.

Jordan Goodwin - Contract converted to two-way deal Goodwin's Exhibit 10 contract was converted to a two-way deal Saturday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Impact Goodwin saw six total minutes with the Wizards last season. He spent most of his time in the G League with the Captial City Go-Go. There, in 31 regular-season appearances (all starts), he averaged 16.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.0 steals. He built off those numbers this preseason, where he averaged 9.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 17.5 minutes. With the Wizards a bit thin at point guard, Goodwin may get more opportunities this year.

Impact Morris played alongside Bradley Beal in the backcourt. While he had major efficiency issues, he delivered decent value thanks to his contributions in other categories. Expect Morris to open the season as Washington's starting point guard, but he will likely operate as a secondary ballhandler and playmaker behind Beal.

Kyle Kuzma - Struggles from field in loss Kuzma recorded seven points (3-12 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, three blocks and an assist across 29 minutes in Friday's 105-89 preseason loss against the Knicks.
Impact Kuzma had an abysmal showing in the preseason finale, something that was even more noticeable after Rui Hachimura ended with 20 points off the bench. Kuzma is expected to open the season as the starting power forward for the Wizards, but don't be surprised if he gets moved to a bench role midway through the campaign if the struggles continue.

Daniel Gafford - Swats five shots as starter Gafford recorded four points (2-3 FG), three rebounds and five blocks across 26 minutes in Friday's 105-89 preseason loss against the Knicks.
Impact Gafford got the start with Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) out, and while he's expected to hold a bench role if the Latvian is healthy, Gafford might end up having decent value if given enough minutes, which is plausible given Porzingis' injury history. Gafford looked impressive defensively in this one, but he can also contribute on offense if provided enough touches.

Impact Beal (illness) had missed Washington's prior two preseason games, but he co-led the Wizards in playing time Friday. A limited preseason combined with many new faces in Beal's supporting cast could result in a slow start to the season, but it at least appears that Beal is 100 percent for the season opener against the Pacers on Wednesday.
