Deni Avdija - Expected to start versus Chicago Wizards coach Wes Unseld expects Avdija to start Friday's home opener against the Bulls, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Avdija rolled his ankle less than eight minutes into Wednesday's 114-107 win over the Bulls. However, he seems to have avoided a long-term injury and isn't expected to miss any additional time. The third-year forward has been dealing with injuries all preseason, so it's possible the Wizards will ease him into the rotation with limited minutes.

Kristaps Porzingis - Expected to play Friday Porzingis (ankle) is expected to play Friday against the Bulls, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Porzingis rolled his left ankle prior to Wednesday's season opener against the Pacers, but he still posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in 32 minutes. It seems likely that he'll be able to play through the issue once again Friday and should be able to handle a fairly significant workload if he's active.

Kristaps Porzingis - Notches double-double Porzingis scored 15 points (5-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 32 minutes during Wednesday's victory over the Pacers.
Impact Porzingis didn't have a great night of shooting the ball, going just 3-of-9 from the field in the first half and 4-of-6 at the free-throw line. He only knocked down two shots in the second half before eventually leaving the game following his second offensive foul in the fourth quarter. The Wizards center did come up big on the defensive end, however, grabbing seven rebounds in the second half to help Washington secure the win.

Kyle Kuzma - Collects 13 rebounds in win Kuzma finished with 22 points (8-19 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 34 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Pacers.
Impact Kuzma grabbed four rebounds in the first quarter while also knocking down three of five shots from the field, including two three-pointers off assists from Bradley Beal. The Wizards' small forward added another 11 points in the second half on 5-of-11 shooting while also flashing his defensive skills with two blocks and five fourth-quarter rebounds. Kuzma and Beal will look to lead the Wizards to their second consecutive win to open the season during Friday's home tilt against the Bulls.

Impact Beal was efficient from the field all night until the fourth quarter, in which he went 0-for-3 from three. He paced the Wizards with 13 first-half points on 6-of-10 shooting while also dishing out two big assists to Kyle Kuzma for three in the first quarter to give Washington an early 18-9 lead. Beal added another four assists in the second half along with a timely block on an Aaron Nesmith layup attempt with just 32 seconds left in the game.
