Fifth-Place in Wurth 400 Buescher finished fifth in the Wurth 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon.

Impact The Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing driver started third on the grid after a strong qualifying effort. Buescher would race in-and-out of the Top 10 at times during this 400-mile battle. The No. 17 Ford would improve down the stretch and he'd eventually crack the Top 5. The final caution of the day gave him a choice on pit strategy and Buescher would opt to stay out on old tires for the final restart. He'd challenge for the win but ultimately hang onto fifth-place by the checkered flag. It was his first-career Top 10 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Runner-up Finish at Talladega Buescher finished second in the Jack Link's 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday afternoon.

Impact The Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing veteran started 10th on the grid and raced among the Top 5 for most of the day in Talladega. Buescher would lead eight different times for 22 laps and make his presence felt at the front over the closing 40 laps. He would battle back-and-forth for control of the lead with Carson Hocevar. A late caution and 3-lap shootout to the checkered flag would see Buescher fall just one-tenth short at the finish line. It was his first Top-5 finish of the season.

Impact After two races finishing outside of the Top 10, Buescher brought the No. 17 car home in 10th place on Sunday at Kansas Speedway. Overall, Buescher has just one finish all season outside of the Top 20. His showing at Kansas involved a bit of luck, as Buescher blew a tire on the final lap of Stage 1 but was able to pit to replace it.
