Impact While Quinn only crossed the plate once, he led the team with seven total bases. The speedy outfielder got the Opening Day start in center field against a righty (Sandy Alcantara) but has since been serving on the short side of a platoon alongside Adam Haseley. Haseley is batting .389, and it's a stretch to think this one game might flip the playing-time split in Quinn's favor.

Impact Quinn will close out the series versus Atlanta with back-to-back starts after he was also included in the lineup for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader. The 27-year-old is expected to fill the short side of a platoon in center field with Adam Haseley for as long as he's up with the big club.

Impact The Phillies haven't clarified whether it will be Quinn or Adam Haseley earning the majority of the starts in center this season, though Friday's lineup seems to hint in Quinn's direction, especially as the left-handed Haseley will be on the bench even with the right-handed Sergio Alcantara on the mound for the Marlins. It will take more than just one game to get a true sense of the expected split between the pair, but Quinn is certainly an interesting fantasy option should he earn a significant role. His career .243/.321/.382 slash line in 109 big-league games is unimpressive, but his 23 steals give him a fair amount of upside.

Impact Whether it's Quinn or Adam Haseley roaming center Friday against the Marlins, expect both players to earn a fair number of starts until one emerges as the clear favorite. Neither player has done much at the plate in their limited major-league opportunities, with Quinn posting an 89 wRC+ in 334 plate appearances and Haseley posting a nearly-identical 88 wRC+ in 242 trips to the plate. Quinn probably has more fantasy upside should he earn a majority of the starts, as he's stolen 23 bases compared to just four for Haseley. Quinn comes with significant durability concerns, though, having never once cleared 100 games played as a professional.

To get first shot at starting role Haseley is expected to be given the chance to prove he's worthy of an everyday role during a potential 2020 campaign, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports.

Impact The 2017 eighth-overall pick made the jump to the majors last season despite playing just 18 games at the Triple-A level and held his own, posting a .266/.324/.396 slash line in 67 games -- passable marks for a player whose outfield defense graded out well by both DRS and UZR. A repeat of those numbers might not be enough to keep Haseley from losing time to speedy fourth outfielder Roman Quinn, but he could get the chance at the start of the season to prove he can ascend to another level at the plate.

Could benefit from shortened season Quinn could potentially benefit from the shortened season, as his durability concerns should matter less with fewer games, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports.

Impact Quinn is an intriguing talent, but he's never been able to play 100 games in a season as a professional and hasn't even played 80 games in a campaign since back in 2016. With the season as a whole not likely to last more than 80 games, though, that should be less of an issue this season. Playing-time questions remain, however, as the Phillies are likely to give 2017 eighth-overall pick Adam Haseley the chance to prove he's an everyday center fielder. Quinn's speed makes him an interesting option should regular playing time open up at some point, however.
