J.B. Wendelken - Reinstated Tuesday Wendelken (oblique) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday.
Impact Wendelken had been on the injured list since early May with a left oblique strain. He appeared in four rehab outings with Triple-A Las Vegas starting June 17, allowing two runs across five innings. He'll now rejoin the Oakland bullpen and figures to see high-leverage innings before too long.

Homer Bailey - Signs minor-league contract Bailey signed a minor-league contract with the Athletics on Tuesday.
Impact Bailey was let go by Minnesota in September of 2020, and he'll report to Triple-A Las Vegas going forward. Impact It marked Wendelken's fourth outing with the Aviators and it was arguably his best showing since beginning the rehab stint June 17.
