Impact Leiter had just a one-run lead to work with when he entered in the ninth frame, but he breezed through a 1-2-3 inning on just 13 pitches. The right-hander recorded the Athletics' first save of the season March 31 against Atlanta, but he had blown both of his save chances (each of which were eighth-inning appearances) since. Over the past week, and Joel Kuhnel posted two saves for the team while Hogan Harris recorded one, so it's anyone's guess who will get the next opportunity. The Athletics' closer situation appears to be a full-fledged committee, making it tough to approach from a fantasy angle.

Jeffrey Springs - Masterful again Tuesday Springs (3-0) earned the win over Texas on Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out five batters over 6.1 innings.

Impact Springs gave up a run in the first inning but shut down the Rangers after that, allowing just one hit (a single) and one walk along with zero runs following that initial frame. The lefty recorded his third straight quality start, all of which have resulted in victories. Springs has been one of MLB's best hurlers in the early portion of the season, posting a 1.46 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 20:8 K:BB over 24.2 frames though his first four starts. He's shown some flashes of excellence in prior campaigns -- especially in 2022, when he put up a 2.46 ERA across 135.1 regular-season innings with the Rays -- so fantasy managers have reason to hope that Springs can maintain this groove, though he's unlikely to be quite this good for the remainder of the season.

Impact Ginn won a bullpen job with the Athletics coming out of spring training, but after making his first three appearances of the season as a reliever, he moved into the rotation last Friday in place of Luis Morales, who was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas. The right-hander handled a limited workload while taking a no-decision in the Athletics' 4-0 win over the Mets, working four innings and striking out four while allowing just one hit and one walk. He tossed 68 pitches in that start and could be pushed up into the 75-to-85 range Wednesday.

Impact Severino fell behind quickly, giving up a three-run homer to Jake Burger in the first inning. To the hurler's credit, he recovered relatively well, yielding just one additional run (on another Burger long ball) while managing to complete six frames.
