Misses out on U.S. Open spot Detry posted a 16-under cumulative score at LIV Golf Virginia to finish tied for sixth with Anthony Kim.
Impact Detry entered Virginia third in the LIV Golf individual standings behind Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau, which had Detry in line to earn a spot at the U.S. Open Championship in June. He played well over the weekend with an 11-under score over the final two rounds, but his performance was not enough to maintain his spot in the standings, with Lucas Herbert's four-stroke win in Virginia moving the Australian into the top-3 of the season-long table. Detry did help his 4Aces win the team event after pairing up with Kim to defeat the Fireballs duo of David Puig and Josele Ballester on the first playoff hole. That said, Detry would have likely preferred to punch his ticket to Shnnecock Hills Golf Club if given the choice. He's in the field for next week's PGA Championship, where he finished T4 in 2024 before missing the cut last year at Quail Hollow.

Share of third in South Africa Detry posted a six-under 65 in the final round of LIV Golf South Africa to finish tied with Branden Grace and Abraham Ancer for third.
Impact Detry scored four-under par or better in each of his four rounds in South Africa and surged over the weekend, going 14-under over the final two days. He led the field with 28 birdies made, finished T10 in putts per hole and driving accuracy and T11 in GIR. Detry has finished in the top-3 in two of the last three LIV Golf tournaments and has four top-15 finishes on the year, which has him fifth in the individual season standings. The next LIV Golf event takes place April 16 at Club de Golf Chapultepec in Mexico.

Impact Detry was part of the feature group with Rahm and Harold Varner after posting a 64-63-66 scorecard through the first three rounds of the tournament. Detry couldn't run his score up on Championship Sunday, going even-par on the front nine before finishing with three birdies over the final six holes to jump past 4Aces teammate Thomas Pieters for second. Per LIV Golf, Detry led the field in SG: Putting (7.66) and finished in the top-5 in both birdies made and GIR. In his debut LIV Golf season, the 33-year-old German has two top-10 finishes through the first three tournaments of the year and will look to carry that momentum into LIV Golf Singapore next week.
