Impact Sorsby replaced Tennessee transfer Tayven Jackson as the Hoosiers' starting quarterback coming into this Week 8 contest. The redshirt freshman had seen some significant playing time while splitting reps over the last two weeks, but he handled the entirety of Indiana's snaps under center Saturday. Sorsby tossed a 35-yard touchdown to wideout Omar Cooper on the opening drive, but his production as a passer fell relatively quiet for the rest of the game. He did log a season high in rushing yards to go along with his first touchdown on the ground this season, which helped keep Indiana competitive during the first half. Sorsby's solid performance will likely keep him as the starting quarterback heading into next Saturday's game against an elite Penn State defense -- a unit that just held Ohio State's offense to 20 points scored in Week 8.

Impact Wimsatt had his biggest statistical performance of the season, as the Rutgers' rushing game had its way with Indiana's defense. The junior dual-threat quarterback led this rushing attack with season highs in carries and rushing yards, and he also tallied all three of the rushing touchdowns for the Scarlet Knights. Wimsatt's season low in passing attempts is an indication of how Rutgers most prefers to operate its run-first offense with the 6-foot-3 junior. This unit will face a significantly tougher opponent against Ohio State in Week 9.
