Beaux Collins - Leads Irish in Receiving in Debut Collins, a transfer from Clemson, accumulated 62 receiving yards on five receptions to head the Notre Dame wide receivers in the 23-13 victory at Texas A&M on Saturday.

Impact The senior has a great shot at finishing his college career on a high note. Most of the Notre Dame receivers departed from last season's team, leaving an opening for Collins. The senior receiver might be tested this Saturday (Sept. 7) in the Irish home opener against Northern Illinois. The Huskies were seventh in the nation against the pass in 2023.

Jeremiyah Love - Career Best in Opening Week Win Love led the Notre Dame rushing game with 91 yards on 14 carries and a touchdown in the 23-13 victory at Texas A&M on Saturday.

Impact The sophomore's game against the Aggies was his career best. Love had 57 rushing yards on eight carries last season against Ohio State. The sophomore drew first blood in the battle for the lead back to replace Audric Estime, who is currently with the Denver Broncos. Love's main competition is junior Jadarian Price who compiled 44 yards on eight carries against A&M and a touchdown. The sophomore will probably have a better running game against Northern Illinois in the home opener on Sept. 7. The Huskies were in the middle of the pack in the country against the run in 2023.

Riley Leonard - Efficient in Opening Win Leonard completed 18-of-30 passes for 158 yards and more importantly did not throw an interception in his Notre Dame debut, a 23-13 victory at Texas A&M on Saturday night.

Impact The new Irish quarterback was very effective running the ball with 63 yards on a dozen carries. Leonard faced a trial by fire against a defense that might be the toughest he will face in the 2024 regular season. The senior transfer from Duke could face an easier task in the home opener, Sept. 7 against Northern Illinois. The Huskies though were seventh in the nation against the pass in 2023.
