The sophomore signal-caller also put the ball on the turf for a potential fumble once, but it was recovered by the Huskers. Haarberg salvaged this rough start with another solid showing on the ground combined with one of his better passes of the season, hitting wideout Malachi Coleman deep downfield for a 44-yard touchdown that put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter. The Huskers passing game did take a significant hit, as top wideout Billy Kemp exited with what a possibly season-ending knee injury, per Mitch Sherman of The Athletic. Haarberg will look to continue piloting the Huskers' offense with his dual-threat ability versus Purdue in Week 9.
