Reece Vander Zee - Won't return Saturday Vander Zee was spotted in street clothes and a boot after exiting Saturday's game against Northwestern and won't return, David Eickholt of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Vander Zee didn't record a catch in this game, and his loss will thin the team's depth at wide receiver. The diagnosis of the injury is unclear, but his next chance to play will come against Wisconsin on Nov. 2. He has 14 catches for 176 yards and three touchdowns in 2024, and his absence would open the door for more playing to the likes of Seth Anderson, Kaden Wetjen and Terrell Washington.

Impact Olsen reportedly didn't travel with the team, so the kicker wasn't necessarily close to playing in Week 9. The kicker, who's hit 7-of-10 field goals this season, hasn't placed since Week 6 and will now miss his third straight game. Luke Akers should handle the kicking duties for the Wildcats.

Bryce Kirtz - Ruled out Saturday Kirtz (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Saturday's game at Iowa.
Impact Kirtz will not suit up Saturday after being listed as questionable heading into the contest. It's a tough blow for the Wildcats as Kirtz has recorded over 120 receiving yards in two of his last three games. His next chance to suit up is next Saturday at Purdue.
