Ian Strong - Huge night in defeat Strong caught 8 of 12 targets for 151 yards during Friday's 38-28 loss versus Iowa.

Impact Strong shed his injury tag before Friday night's game and turned in an impressive performance, including one drive where Athan Kaliakmanis target him almost exclusively. Strong is expected to be one of the first wide receivers off the board in the 2026 NFL Draft, and his skills will be showcased with a skilled quarterback getting the ball to him. He has 24 catches for 367 yards and two touchdowns through four games.

DT Sheffield - Reels in three catches in loss Sheffield tallied three receptions (on six targets) for 51 yards during Friday's 38-28 defeat to Iowa.

Impact Most of Athan Kaliakmanis' passes went to Ian Strong, but he still saw six targets in the defeat. He's only caught about half of the targets that have gone hiss way this season, which is the main reason why he only has 15 catches for 252 yards through four games. He does have two touchdowns to his credit, however.

Antwan Raymond - Scores two touchdowns in loss Raymond posted 18 carries for 62 yards and two touchdowns during Friday's 38-28 loss against Iowa.

Impact Iowa's defense showed some cracks in the first half, and Raymond found plenty of seams to run through. both of his touchdowns came near the goal line and only represented a fraction of his yardage total. Through four games, the sophomore is excelling with 310 yards and seven touchdowns..

Athan Kaliakmanis - Massive line in defeat Kaliakmanis was 24-for-40 passing for 330 yards and one interception during Friday's 38-28 defeat against Iowa. He also had 10 rushes for four yards with two touchdowns.

Impact Although Kaliakmanis was effective in picking apart Iowa's defense in the first half, Rutgers was stifled by the Hawkeyes as the game progressed. Despite the loss, Rutgers performed much better compared to previous losses to Iowa, and Kaliakmanis' superb play should help the Scarlet Knights make a bit of noise in the Big Ten.
