Addison Ostrenga - Remains without return date Ostrenga (arm) is without a return timetable ahead of Saturday's game against Northwestern, David Eickholt of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Ostrenga will remain "out for awhile" according to head coach Kirk Ferentz. The 6-foot-4 junior tight end, who suffered an arm injury against the Buckeyes in Week 6, totaled 11 receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown across the Hawkeyes first five games. Iowa has Wisconsin (11/2), UCLA (11/8), Maryland (11/23) and Nebraska (11/29) on their upcoming schedule, but it remains to be seen when Ostrenga will be able to return.

Impact Vander Zee connected with quarterback Cade McNamara on an 18-yard scoring strike in the second quarter, getting the Hawkeyes on the board for the day and drawing them within five points in the first half. The freshman receiver was one of the few bright spots for the Iowa offense on a day in which McNamara threw for just 150 yards and completed less than 50 percent of his passes. Vander Zee will look to build on his performance when the Hawkeyes host Northwestern this week.

Kaleb Johnson - Productive stats in loss Johnson totaled 14 carries for 98 yards and one touchdown and reeled in 4 of 5 targets for 49 yards during Saturday's 32-20 defeat against Michigan State.
Impact Despite the solid statline, Johnson was held mostly in check throughout the day, with most of his production coming on a 75-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. The junior running back was more involved in the passing game due to the lack of a consistent running game, catching four passes for 49 yards, both of which marked season-best totals. Johnson has been one of the best running backs in all of college football this season, running for 1,035 yards and 13 touchdowns through the team's first seven games on an impressive 7.8 YPC. His next opportunity to better those numbers will come in a home battle against Northwestern this coming Saturday.
