Seth Caillouet - Snags two passes in opener Caillouet had two catches for 25 yards in Saturday's 29-20 loss to Baylor.
Impact Behind Marcell Barbee, Caillouet was Texas State's second-leading receiver against the Bears. The majority of his production came on a 20-yard connection with Brady McBride. The tight end hasn't been used much in the passing game during his three years in San Marcos, so it remains to be seen how Jake Spavital intends to incorporate the sophomore.

Impact The Bobcats' top target wasted no time getting going in 2021, hauling in Texas State's lone receiving touchdown of the night when he connected with Brady McBride from 12 yards out. After finishing seventh in the country with 10 receiving touchdowns last year, the junior is primed to put on a show this season.

Jahmyl Jeter - Rushes for TD against Baylor Jeter had eight carries for 45 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 29-20 loss to Baylor.
Impact Jeter was one of three Texas State running backs to get eight or more carries on the night, but he made the most of his opportunity. The sophomore snapped off the Bobcats' longest rushing play of the night and scored their lone rushing touchdown. With three transfers joining the offensive line in San Marcos this season, look for Jake Spavital and crew to further improve on an offense that went from scoring 18.4 points per game in 2019 to 27.7 last year.

Brady McBride - Throws three interceptions in loss McBride completed 20 of 40 passes for 156 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Saturday's 29-20 loss to Baylor.
Impact McBride had a tough night against Baylor, completing just 50 percent of his passes and throwing three picks. The sophomore pivot showed a willingness to air it out, but a pick-six in the first quarter and a poor decision on a rollout in the fourth made for an ugly showing. Fortunately for the Bobcats, their next three games come against teams that went a combined 5-12 last year.
