Bruce Thornton - Leads charge for Buckeyes Thornton supplied 21 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 11-11 FT), six rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 89-82 victory over USC.

Impact Thornton is trying to singlehandedly will Ohio State to an NCAA Tournament berth, and he had another solid performance Wednesday night, leading the Buckeyes in scoring and hitting clutch free throws down the stretch to earn a bounce-back victory over USC. His 11 free throws were a season-high, and he repeatedly forced the issue at the rim to close out the game and suffocate the Trojans chances of a late-game comeback. Thornton remains the driving force behind Ohio State's late-season push.

Impact Johnson has missed the past two games for the Buckeyes after he made his 2025-26 debut on Jan. 23 and played in three straight games. However, he'll be available once again Wednesday night, and will likely remain in his role as a bench option for Ohio State's frontcourt.

Mathieu Grujicic - Off injury report vs. USC Grujicic (hand) is not on the injury report for Wednesday's game against USC.

Impact Grujicic will be active for the home clash versus the Trojans after missing all but six of Ohio State's games so far this season. The 6-foot-7 freshman averaged one point and 0.8 rebounds on 5.5 minutes per game in his limited appearances so far this campaign.

Impact Royal had another solid game for the Buckeyes, but it simply wasn't enough to pull off an upset of this magnitude against a team like Michigan. The forward is having a strong season, averaging 13.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists, but notably, his three-point shot has fallen off as of late; he's just 2-of-20 from downtown in his last six games.

Impact Bynum has now been very quiet in two straight games after two straight solid performances of 15 and 18 points, respectively. That's been the story all season for the freshman forward; he's certainly had his moments, but also has seen his production drop off at poor times (like against the No. 2 team in the country, Michigan). Since entering the starting five on Jan. 20, Bynum averages 9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and .2 assists on 46 percent shooting from the floor.

Impact Tilly gave it a go here after missing Monday's game against Penn State due to a lower body injury, but he clearly wasn't himself, getting held scoreless for the first time all year and spending much of the second half on the bench. Ivan Njegovan got some run in his stead, but much of the game was spent in a smaller lineup with freshman Amare Bynam at the five. The Buckeyes have a slight break in the schedule before Thursday's road matchup against Maryland, but it still might be worth glancing at the injury report to make sure Tilly's name doesn't resurface.

John Mobley Jr. - Held in check by Badgers Mobley finished Saturday's 92-82 loss to Wisconsin with nine points (4-12 FG, 1-8 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist over 28 minutes.

Impact Mobley had been on a scoring tear going into this game, averaging 25.3 ppg over four games leading up to Saturday. He saw a few shots early, but then foul trouble disrupted his rhythm and foced him to spend more time on the bench than normal. In fact, it was his lowest single-game minutes total since Dec. 6. This is likely just a blip on the radar, as he remains Ohio State's best pure scorer and arguably their top fantasy asset. Next up is a road matchup against Maryland on Thursday.
