INDYCAR Ratings Boost Continues for FOX at Arlington

The fast start to the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season continues to gain speed with race fans, as the inaugural Java House Grand Prix of Arlington extended a trend of growing ratings on FOX.

The inaugural Java House Grand Prix of Arlington drew 1,336,000 viewers last Sunday, March 15 on FOX. Kyle Kirkwood passed four-time and reigning series champion Alex Palou late in the race for victory.

That viewership marked a 142 percent increase over viewership for the third race of the 2025 season (Acura Long Beach Grand Prix) and a 54 percent increase over the 2025 average for Sunday races on FOX, excluding the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.

Viewership peaked at 1,563,000 between 2-2:15 p.m. as Kirkwood powered toward the checkered flag on the 14-turn, 2.73-mile temporary street circuit in the shadows of AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, and Globe Life Field, home of MLB’s Texas Rangers (photo, above).

The Arlington ratings continued a success story for FOX and INDYCAR in this young season.

This is the first time since 2008, when American open-wheel racing reunified, that an average of more than 1 million viewers have watched the first three races of the season. FOX is averaging 1,328,000 viewers for the first three races of the season, an increase of 48 percent over 2025.
